Important PBX System Information

If you use a Private Branch Exchange (PBX) telephone system, a 9-1-1 dispatcher may see only your corporate or billing address, not the actual location of the emergency. It is your responsibility to input and maintain the 9-1-1 phone station information. You must take steps to provide accurate and updated phone number and location data to California’s 9-1-1 database so that the location information provided to the 9-1-1 operator is the location from which the call is actually placed.
