This may be happening for one of the following reasons:
- Your email program is downloading a large message. If you cancel the process, you will receive all of the previously downloaded messages before beginning on the large message again. Try to wait for 5-10 minutes or until you receive a time-out error.
- You may have received a message that is corrupted and will not download. The reason why the same messages keep downloading is that the email program’s job is to download all messages before it deletes them from the server. Since the download can’t complete, the program won’t delete the messages. Simply deleting the message, or messages, off the mail server will clear this up. You can delete the messages from the server by logging into Webmail.
